As the sugar cube floats, fleeting in time The springtime blooming just outside A sparrow perched on a branch A melody heard for the first time Plucks at my heartstrings unforeseen Incense burning I let down my hair Gazing at the unfamiliar soft light That shines upon on a morning paper-flat A flock of sheep chasing shadows cast by clouds Say anything to lull me to sleep An empty philosophy realized alone Then put into practice Slowly rising A Sunday, all on my own Gently reflecting, slowly recollecting As the sugar cube floats, fleeting in time One cup of respite, two feelings of fret A time, beyond time A gentle, empty room A thousand and one indecisions Unwilling to miss out, yet unable to fully commit Time to bury my head in the sand and forget the world To be greedy, to be simple Until a new moon sinks to the bottom of the cup Still looking for that something new A Sunday, all on my own Slips beyond, the horizon Like the nameless long night Are you alright?
