Sound of Amazing Grace

If you hear the sound of laughter, where there Used to be no joy, or the tender bedtime Whispers of a child. If you hear a choir singing, and it stirs Within your soul, as you recall the day you Walked the aisle. That's the sound of freedom ringing, Through the spirit of believers, Who have seen their lives completely turned around. It's the pounding of old hearts made new by Mercy taking place. That's the sound of amazing grace. The sound of amazing grace. If you hear a cry that echoes, From within a mother's soul, as her wayward son Comes walking through the door. Or the grateful shout of someone, as forgiveness Covers all, and they walk away from who they Were before. That's the sound of freedom ringing, Through the spirit of believers, Who have seen their lives completely turned around. It's the pounding of old hearts made new by Mercy taking place. That's the sound of amazing grace. The sound of amazing grace. The breaking of our chains that fall, The blessing of the Savior's call, When He said, "Follow me, Come and be set free." That's the sound of freedom ringing, Through the spirit of believers, Who have seen their lives completely turned around. That's the sound of freedom ringing, Through the spirit of believers, Who have seen their lives completely turned around. It's the pounding of old hearts made new by Mercy taking place. That's the sound of amazing grace. The sound of amazing grace. That's the sound of amazing Grace.
