Then Came Jesus

The billows rolled, driven by Tempest gales. The angry sea had battered and torn the Sails. The hungry waves were crashing down. My soul was tossed and driven on. I was lost and helpless, no Hope could I see. But then came Jesus walking on the Water. My ship was sinking in the storms of Life. He whispered, "Peace, be still," And calmed the sea. Oh, then came Jesus, and He Rescued me. The sea was calm as I sailed the ocean Deep. The restless waves had no power over Me. With my Savior as my guide, there was no Harm from the surging tide. But in my pride, I went my own way, Away from His side. But then came Jesus walking on The water. My ship was sinking in the storms of Life. He whispered, "Peace, be still," And calmed the sea. Oh, then came Jesus, and He Rescued me. Lord, pilot me over life's Raging sea. The way unknown, let me hide myself in Thee. And someday on heaven's shore, There'll be no rocks, no thunder roar.
