Why stay at home?

The world is wide, no lifetime can it span. I ache to hold it close, to grasp it In my hand. Mm, must I wander? Must I stray? Should I, should I stay away? What do I hope to find? What fear am I to lose? Some reason bids me onward. I don't know which to choose. A pull compels me forward, calls me into flight. It tugs me once again, it steals me into Night. M-m-m-m-my run again, I rise into the sky. Ooh. Cities and mountains lure and wink my eye. I rush to meet those pretty tempting charms. But must I? Do I need their open arms? Time zones all as one, they've braided into sea. A single rolling current always calling me. My forebears were pilgrims. They wandered wild and free. A rover's restless spirit runs like blood in me. Tea from mountain streams, breakfasts away from Home. Oh, my soft bed, I miss you When I roam. Again, I trade my comforts for the road and For the days. Trains give way to airplanes. Flights replace the old trains' ways. M-m-m-m-my run again, I rise into the sky. Ooh. Cities and mountains lure and wink my eye. I rush to meet those pretty tempting charms. But must I? Do I need their open arms? Hey! God, when will I long for rest? When will my heart find peace? What if in my old age, I never learn Release? What if I never know that quiet in Both grief and joy? Never taste that certain calm that time cannot Destroy? Oh, those ants in my pants, they prod and Pull, they bind. They magnetize and point my course, They set my guiding line. They serve as my vector, drive me out to Shape my art. They stir a little busy world Wherever I depart. I'm not rushing anywhere now, it's calm. Sorting through old photos, a soothing balm. That hustle has faded like an echo's sigh. I gaze at the nature that's nearby. But, but why just stay at home? M-m-m-m-my run again, I rise into the sky. Ooh.
