Silver Wing

The city lights are fading slow, Reflections dancing on the floor. Your suitcase waiting by the door like it already Knows. The speakers call another flight, A distant voice across the hall. I'm standing here and watching all the moments turn To night. I try to smile. I try to stay strong, But every second feels too Long. And there you go Into the sky, a silver Wing across the night. Taking my heart beyond the Clouds, Far from where we are right Now. I watch your plane become a Star, a tiny light so Very far.
