Woke up late, missed my train Spilled coffee on my shirt again Bills are due, money's low How do grown-ups even know What to do with their whole life? I'm still using my dad's advice "Save your money, work hard, pray" But that didn't work yesterday Somebody call my mom Tell her I'm not that strong Somebody tell me please When do you get the keys To being a real adult? 'Cause honestly, it's tough Adulting is hard, adulting sucks Nobody told me life was this much Filling out forms, waiting on hold Trying to be brave but feeling so old Adulting is hard, can't catch a break Eating cereal for goodness sake For dinner again, at half past ten When does the fun part begin? Tried to cook a real meal last night Set the kitchen on fire, not right Ordered pizza, felt ashamed But you know what? Pizza's great Got my first wrinkle yesterday Found a grey hair, go away My back hurts from sitting wrong How did I get here all along?
