I'll Be Home

Hello, my wife, How are you doing, dear? I'm far away And I am missing you. This brutal war is raging over Here. And I see my friends are falling, It is true. I promise you that I'll return, My darling, my one love. I'm going into battle, but alive, My angel from above Protects me. I received a medal And I'm flying home. I'm happy that my family's with me. No more shall I roam. And there by the plane's ramp, You're waiting now for me. My wife, my little son, my whole dear family. I'll hug my wife and take my son in Arms with all my might and tell my mom How much I love her in the warm sunlight. I promise you and I've returned, My darling, my one love. I went to fight and I'm alive. My angel from above Was watching me. With medal on my chest I have come Home. I'm happy that my family's with me. No more shall I roam.
