How Can It Be?

They say that love cannot be bought. You cannot borrow it or steal. But I see the lessons others taught, And how they find a love that's real. Some win you over with a smile. Some with a story, some with gold. But I don't have that kind style. I'm just a story Never told. But how can it be? And what about me? Is there really nothing in this world that I Was meant to see? But how can it be? Where is that simple sign? Where are the eyes that look at me And simply say, "You're mine"? And we just Go home. I boil the water, silence falls. One ticket for the movie show. I built these safe and quiet walls, But there is no one here to know. Am I invisible today? Just empty space inside the light. I speak, but hours slip away, Like I don't exist tonight, like I'm just there. But how can it be? And what about me? Is there really nothing in this world that I Was meant to see? But how can it be? Where is that simple sign? Where are the eyes that look at me and Simply say, "You're mine"? I'm not asking for a fairytale, No fireworks or movie scenes. I'm just so tired and so frail Of knowing what lonely means. If you are out there, give a sign, Even a whisper in the dark. Tell me I'm not a waste of time. Tell me I have a spark. How can it be? Did I just miss my turn? I know how to love. I don't need to be special. I just wanna be Needed Just by one.
