TURN YOUR STEPS BACK

The night dissolves the silhouette so fast. In shadows of my dreams, your image fades at Last. He yearned for you with violin in Hand. A forgotten tune across the frozen Land. The melody fades out into the dark. The winter wind leaves nothing but a spark. Why did she walk away? Across the snow, your footsteps fade from View. And no one ever will bring back Sweet you. The snow melts down, Your tracks are gone again. You took the notes, The song of love, And then He's left with nothing. The cold, with nothing. Wounded in his soul. Turn your steps back home. Turn your steps back home. He holds a piece of ice within his hand. The melting water drops onto the sand. He waits for you to come back where you Belong. But you are gone forever. Gone so long. Love in the winter has a short-lived glow. Softly falls the silent winter Snow. With nothing. All alone. Only drops through fingers Squeezing his palm. Fire inside the cold. The icy city hides the shadows deep. The unfinished verses that we couldn't keep. The bow slides softly on the frozen strings. A mournful cry that through the alley rings. Ice melts in hand, the feelings turn to stone. Listening to silence, violin cries Alone. Come back to me. Across the snow, your footsteps fade From view. And no one ever will bring Back Sweet you. The snow melts down, Your tracks are gone again. You took the notes, The song of love, And then He's left with nothing. The cold, with nothing. Wounded in his soul. Turn your steps back. Oh, turn your steps back home. He holds a piece of ice within his hand. The melting water drops onto the sand. He waits for you to come back where you Belong. But you are gone forever. Gone so long. Love in the winter has a short-lived glow. Softly falls the silent Winter snow.
