Beyond the Stars

I look outside my window pane, And all I see is endless pain. The cities burn, the children cry. I often ask the empty sky, "Why do we Fight? Why do we fall? Is there no one who hears the call? This broken world, this endless night, I'm tired of the wrong, not right." But maybe somewhere far Beyond, where stars are born and time responds. Maybe someone wise and kind can heal the wounds Of humankind. I wanna fly beyond the stars, and leave behind These earthly scars. I'll find the gods or alien minds, And bring them light for all mankind. I'll tell them all about our wars, Our broken homes and closed doors. And beg them, "Please come set us free. Bring peace to Earth and harmony." I see the smoke, I hear the sirens. The world is loud, but no one listens. Mothers hold their children tight, Praying they'll survive the night. The leaders talk, but nothing changes. We're locked inside these endless cages. I wanna scream, "Is anyone there?" Beyond the dark and cold night air. But maybe somewhere far beyond, Where stars are born and time responds. Bring peace to Earth and harmony." I'll build a ship of light and sound, And leave this gravity behind. I'll travel through the void alone, Until I find a mind, a home. And when I do, I'll speak for you, For every dream that never came true. For every child who asked why, I'll find the answer in the sky. I wanna fly beyond the stars, and leave behind These earthly scars. I'll find the gods or alien minds, And bring them light for all mankind. I'll tell them all about our wars, Our broken homes and closed doors. And beg them, "Please come set us free. Bring peace to Earth and harmony. Bring peace to Earth and harmony. Bring peace to Earth and harmony."
