Open Your Eyes

Open your eyes. Walking down the boulevard alone. Waiting for a message on my phone. Shadows falling all around my feet. Lost inside the rhythm of the street. You said that you would never let me go. Now I'm standing in the freezing snow. Looking for a sign, a little spark. Trying to survive within the dark. Open your eyes and see what we've done. We were as bright as the tropical sun. Why did you run so far away? Hoping and praying for a better day. Open your eyes, it's not too late. We can escape From this empty fate. Oh. Memories are playing in my head. Echoes of the things that you once said. Like a radio that's playing out of tune. Howling like a wolf against the moon. People pass me by. They never care. Finding out that love is just a scare. Still I hear your voice inside the wind. Wondering where we should have begin. Open your eyes and see what we've done. We were as bright as the tropical sun. Why did you run so far away? Hoping and praying for a better day. Open your eyes, it's not too late. We can escape From this empty fate. Reggae night, shining light. Everything will be all right. Take my hand, Understand. We can walk upon the sand. No more tears, no more pain. Wash it all away like summer rain. Open your eyes. Open Open your eyes. Open your eyes.
