Follow The Stars

Here on this planet, the third from the sun. I don't really fit in or relate to anyone. But when I look up and the stars start To shine, I have to believe in all of That sky. There is life on a planet that Will bring life to mine. Life in a prep school is basically hell. Where you shrink and you die and then get Saved by the bell. I keep my head down in astronomy text. I read and I read so I am prepared. And I'm ready and waiting for what science Finds next. That's why I follow the stars. To find what might be living behind their shining Light. That's why I follow the stars. I peek inside a telescope, and I'm a satellite. When I look up, all I can see is Endless possibilities. So I follow, follow, follow The stars. I'll find a planet just light years away. Where I'm surrounded by friends and have cool things To say. I won't feel so scattered and lost in my Thoughts. Down here on Earth, I stand worlds apart. But when I'm stargazing, I'm connecting the Dots. That's why I follow the stars. To search for what is out there and not Feel so alone. That's why I follow the stars. In all those constellations, can I call one my Own? I'll live the life I wish I had With Neil deGrasse Tyson as my dad. I'll follow, follow, follow, follow the Stars. There's a hundred thousand million in our galaxy Alone. That's why I follow the stars. Plus a million other galaxies and a million still Unknown. Chances are in that great abyss there's a Planet that fits me better than this. So I follow, Follow, follow the stars.
