Love's Lingering Flame

The Candle's almost burning out. One small light remains. The photograph is fading Through the years of joy and pain. I thought the night would take it. I thought the cold would win. But something from the love we shared Still flickers deep within. I don't reach for yesterday. I don't ask you to return. But some fires don't disappear just because They had to burn.
