In muddy waters, Two kinds of fish always swim. Some wear halos bright, Some are devils within. Some have no morals. They poison the air. Yet somehow they're always Forgiven out there. The holy pretenders With virtue to sell. Preach from the rooftops While hiding in hell. They cheat in the shadows Where no one can see. You'll never expose what they fake perfectly. You look in those eyes, Tear-filled eyes. Behind them, there's nothing but storms in Disguise. Heartless bastards lying every single day. Throwing up a smokescreen till you lose your Way. They lie without a reason. It's just who they are. Still waters hide the darkest lies by far. They paint perfect worlds that never exist. Then scream, "You've betrayed me," And shake their fist. They strike at the living with spite and with Shame. Giving in to anger with no reason why. They're snakes and they're cowards, Yet still they believe in fairy-tale kingdoms that No one can see.
