The air begins to rot The sun forgets its spot The wind no longer speaks— The end is all it seeks The sky splits into scars The wolves devour the stars The ash becomes the rain— The earth remembers pain Deep rumbling shakes the ground The serpent coils around Its poison stains the sea Unwriting destiny Hear the mountains break apart Feel the fire pierce the heart Every oath the gods once made Now returns like rusted blade This is the burning end No glory left to defend When fate unchains the beast The gods become the feast A ship of nails sets sail Its hull a graveyard tale The giants march in flame— No shield survives their aim The father of the slain Now feels the final strain His spear begins to rust His truth dissolves to dust Storms devour every cry Smoke ascends to choke the sky No twilight left to see— Only collapse of prophecy This is the burning end No glory left to defend When fate unchains the beast The gods become the feast Drums echo bones of kings The void pulls broken strings The roots of Yggdrasil Are cracking under will No ravens left to soar No runes to speak before The day the fire roars Will silence all the wars Break the heavens!
