Mm. The chair beside me gathers dust. The voices carried by the wind. The laughter that once filled this house Is only in these walls again. My children found their distant Roads. But couldn't steal my faith when I lost the hands I used to Hold. The voices I called on. The world saw one abandoned man. But heaven saw its own. There were nights I almost questioned If you still heard this broken prayer. But every tear that fell unnoticed Was already In your care. I learned that faith is not the silence. It's trusting through the longest night. Believing when no answer comes. That you are still the light. Job said, "I know that my redeemer lives." So I'll keep seeing through these tears Until my faith becomes my sight. Like Job, I stood alone. And ever truly by Myself. When everything this life could break Lay scattered on the ground.
