I Am Ready Lord

My hands are slower Than they used to be. My mirror shows What time has taken from me. I buried dreams And learned to kneel. I've lost much more Than words can Heal. I am ready, Lord, if you call my name. I've run my race. I'm not afraid. I lay my life Into your hands. I trust the wounds. I trust the plan. If this night Is my last breath drawn, I'll wake where pain And tears are Gone. I made my peace with those who Left. Forgiveness Was my final gift. I kept the faith When hope grew dim. I stayed When darkness settled in. I am ready, Though the door stands wide. No chains remain, No fear inside. No weight was mine When days were long. Now heaven hums My final song. This heart Should cease its fight. I open my Eyes To perfect light. Into your hands I place my Spirit.
