Amor Fati

I had a picture drawn out in my mind. A different road, a different kind. A house, a love, a perfect plan. A future built by my own hand. But life walked in wearing something else. Not the story I told myself. I stood there waiting, arms crossed tight. Waiting for the world to make it right. But no apology ever came. No reason given, no one to blame. So I stopped asking why. I just stopped asking why. I'm gonna love the life I didn't order. The one that came, not the one I saw. No more waiting for an apology. I'll build something beautiful from it all. Love the life I didn't order. Every piece of it, the good, the flaws. This is my life and I say yes to It. I love it now, without a pause. Oh, oh. I used to fight the ending that I got. Curse the pages, curse the plot. I lost the job, I lost the map. I lost the version I thought I'd have. But somewhere deep inside the loss, I found a door I hadn't crossed. I stopped rewriting what was done and asked, "What can I build from what I've won?" It's not pretending that it doesn't hurt. It's not forgetting what I lost first. It's choosing peace over the endless fight. Choosing to love this life, in this light. I don't need the perfect plan to feel Whole. I just say yes, To my soul. I'm gonna love the life I didn't order.
