Ordinary Dream

I had a day that broke me a little. I sat in the quiet and I couldn't find Peace. I was tired of everything I was carrying. Tired in a way I couldn't even speak. And then something inside me went still for a Second, and I looked around at what I had. The air, the light, the people sleeping near me, And I felt ashamed for everything I'd missed. This ordinary life I'm living Is someone else's only dream. The things I walk past every morning are what Someone is praying for tonight. I don't need a sign to be grateful. I just need to stop and really see this Life right now, exactly as it is, Is already more than enough for me. I think of someone in a hospital bed tonight Praying for the health I never thought about. I think of someone who has no one waiting, Who would give anything for what I almost threw Out. I'm not saying the pain isn't real. I'm just saying don't forget what's real beside it. The child, the roof, the hand that holds you. Someone somewhere built a whole life trying to find It. I Stopped waiting for the perfect moment to feel what I should have felt all along. Grateful right now, not later, No, now. This ordinary life I'm living Is someone else's only dream. The things I walk past every morning are what Someone is praying for tonight. I don't need a sign to be grateful. I just need to stop and really see this Life right now, exactly as it is, Is already more than enough for me.
