The Road Rolls, But My Heart Stays Still

Morning tram cuts through the silent mist. Shadows stretch where dreams still twist. City wakes with hurty feet. But my heart skips its own beat. Coffee steam curls through the air. Empty seat across my chair. Wheels go on, the engine sigh. Yet I'm stuck in your Goodbye. Streets roll fast, the cars all Hum. But my mind drifts where we came from. You moved on, I stayed the Same. Driving on, but lost the flame. Time flows like the avenue. But I'm still stuck inside of you. No direction, signs for Pain. Just one heart on a moving Train. Taillights blink and faces Fade. The city runs its grand parade. I let go, or so I say. But my heart Still won't drive Away.
