Fading Into Yesterday

I watched you leave through the airport door. Your perfume stayed behind on my floor. Three weeks and I haven't washed the sheets. I drive past your apartment on repeat. Your sister called, I didn't pick up. She knows where I've been, what I've become. I'm fading into yesterday, Where your skin still tastes like nicotine and Rain. I'm fading into yesterday, Before you told me you were leaving on that Plane. Your toothbrush sits beside the bathroom sink. I count the hours I don't sleep, I think. About the way you said my name that night, When everything felt wrong, but you felt right. Friends downtown, they walk right past. They know I'm stuck here in the past. I'm fading into yesterday, Where your skin still tastes like nicotine and rain. I'm fading into yesterday, Before you told me you were leaving on That plane. I keep your voicemails saved, play it back when I'm I'm alone. Alone. You said You you'd said call you'd call when When you you got got home. Home, But home's but home's not not where where Roam. I am anymore. I'm fading into yesterday. Where your skin still tastes like nicotine and rain. I'm fading into yesterday. Before you told me you were leaving on that Plane. I'm still here. Somewhere else. I'm disappearing into what we felt.
