Losing the Aurora

You moved to the coast in September. I stay in the same apartment. Your voice on the phone gets distant. I know what that means now. All the plans we made are dissolving. You say it's not me, it's the timing. But timing is just another word for someone who's Already gone. I'm losing the aurora. The colors fade to black. You're finding something newer. I can't bring you back. I'm losing the aurora. The cold is setting in. You're somewhere with another. I'm right where we began. Your sister still texts me sometimes. Asks if I'm doing better. I lie and say I'm moving forward. But I'm stuck in last December. All the photos got archived or deleted. You changed your number without warning. I drive past your old street at midnight. Knowing you're not coming home. I'm losing the aurora. The colors fade to black. You're finding something newer. I can't bring you back. I'm losing the aurora. The cold is setting in. You're somewhere with another. I'm right where we began. Maybe Maybe in in another another life, Life we get the timing right. Maybe in another city, you still call me Late at night. I'm losing the aura. The colors fade to black. You're finding something new. I can't bring you back. I'm losing the aura. The warmth you used to bring. You're writing different stories. I'm stuck inside this dream. You moved to the coast in September. I stayed in the same apartment.
