Somewhere There

My sorrow isn't dread, it's true. Yet to this crypt I have been led. And even brightest light has fled. It cannot pierce this hopeless view. No one will find me in this shade. I wanted it to be this way. With neither trouble nor dismay, My life just slowly starts to fade. And somewhere there, They're singing happy tunes. And somewhere there, They're dancing rock 'n' roll. And somewhere there, Beneath a lover's moon, A man climbs to his darling's Soul. The daytime here is dull and gray. The night is stretching way too long. Two sisters join me in this song, My sadness and my sweet delay. And somewhere there, they don't hide happy Tears. And somewhere there, they've never learned deceit. And somewhere there, Defying all the fears, They play the game with their last Sheet. It's damp and dark without a spark. There is no comfort to be found. I watch a film that makes no sound, And see the meaning in the dark. And somewhere there, they make a brand new date. And somewhere there, They meet a coming train. And somewhere there, They celebrate their fate. And walk till morning once again. And somewhere there, they don't hide happy Tears. And somewhere there, They've never learned deceit. And somewhere there, Defying all the fears, They play the game with their last Sheet. And somewhere there, They're singing happy tunes. And somewhere there, They're dancing rock 'n' roll. And somewhere there, Beneath a lover's moon, A man climbs to his darling's Soul.
