We're walking you through the brand new album from The Cadillac Three. It's called Legacy. It is available now. And this next song that I wanna talk about, It's called Take Me to the Bottom. And this might sound weird, but when this song First started playing, um, and it was sort of That sparse, moody guitar, and, And just even that first note that you hit, Um, it almost kinda gave me like Prince, The Beautiful Ones-Oh, cool. Sort of a vibe. Yeah. But it kinda had just that haunting sexiness about It. And I think about songs like that, White Lightning, um, Tennessee, all of which you wrote by Yourself. We talked about the fact that Tennessee Was not, but are these ever just like late Night, I'm missing her, I'm going back to the Studio, I'm gonna find a way to get all This out of me? They are sometimes. Those thoughts are. I think that particular song, Take Me to the Bottom, I wrote it the Day after I wrote Tennessee. I had just gotten home and I was--I Hadn't written a song in like three weeks, so I had all this like, I wanna write, you know, I wanna be creative. Um, and I missed my wife, you know, missed That part of my life. And to explain that Note, like the ta, that thing, Whatever, I just, I was trying to go somewhere That we hadn't gone yet, you know? And when you're in a band with the same Two guys and you're writing all the time and You kinda get cornered sometimes, you know, you can Pigeonhole yourself, and I was trying to find a Couple things for this record that would stand out And show different strengths, you know, different Things. And talking to people, that's been one of The most interesting things to hear people say is Like, "Man, I remember hearing that falsetto thing On the Take You to the Bottom. That's so cool. Never thought you guys would do Something like that." And I was like, "Cool. Mission accomplished." Mm-hmm. Absolutely.
