I remember the soldier and the old wardrobe shade. He stood his ground firmly, though no gun he'd Play. And the doll who was always losing a Shoe. A funny, naive little pride, Me and you. The worn out teddy bear with A patch on his seam. He listened to all of the secrets I dream. These pictures of childhood inside of my head. Like frames from a movie that never has fled.
