Man Of Steel Commentary

I am so excited to finally be able to Share Brantley Gilbert's entire new album with you. I know leading up to the release of Fire & Brimstone, he put out several advanced tracks. But now all 14 are available in one nice Little package, and I'm so happy to have Brantley Gilbert here to tell us the stories behind the Songs. And man, this next one, Man of Steel, this is a Brantley Gilbert love Song if I have ever heard one. Because it's not all hearts and flowers and Rainbows, but still, in your own way, It is full of commitment and love and undying Loyalty. So talk to me about writing Man of Steel. Personally for me, it's about being that Strong figure in my wife's life and in my Son's life and in my daughter's life. But as the song came together, It became about something bigger than me. In my heart, I was leaning towards our veterans And active duty guys and girls, a lot of Them coming home and trying to be that figure. When they're over there, from what I understand, I Try not to write songs about anything I don't Know anything about. I have been blessed enough to Be able to work with the military a lot And to have conversations with a lot of these Guys and girls. And when it's your battle buddy, "I want to be your man of steel. I got your six when it hits the fan," You know? But I feel like it kind of Follows them home, and I tried to get in A little bit to what that battle It's a Different war when you're trying to be that person For their wives or their kids or their families, And just with these memories or whatever it is They brought home with them. Well, I, I cannot wait to see whatever you End up doing with this song. That's very powerful when you think of it in That way. Listen to the lyrics. This is Man of Steel from Brantley Gilbert and His new album, Fire & Brimstone.
