We've been going through every single song on Brantley Gilbert's new album, Fire & Brimstone, Which is out now. And if you've been listening, Then you know Brantley has shown all kinds of Sides of himself. He's got the rough and rowdy Party side, but he's also got the soft and Tender father side, the husband side, The guy who has such respect for our military. And this next song, Never Gonna Be Alone, I love this song because on one hand it Feels like an apology, but on the other hand, It also comes along with a promise. So tell me about writing Never Gonna Be Alone. We're getting to the part of the album now Where I'm talking to my wife, of course, But you know, my kids too. It's like I know I'm out on the road, I'm, I know I'm gone a lot, but I'm Still there. You know, wherever y'all are is, is home. And, uh, I don't ever want 'em to feel Lonely, and that is something that's inevitable with As much as I'm gone, but I wanted 'em To have a song that was just a reminder, Like, "Hey man, my dad's always thinking of me, And my husband's always thinking of me." I want Amber to know, and she knows, you Know, I'm a phone call away wherever I'm at. If I gotta get on a jet, I'll be There as soon as I can get there. So it's just kind of that, letting them know I'm still there even when I'm not. I love that. And I would think that Amber, You know, might have felt special when she heard This song. But I remember I had a conversation With Dierks Bentley one time, and I think he Had written Woman, Amen, and I felt like, Oh man, that was inspired by his wife, and When he brought it home, what did she think? Was she just emotional about it? And he said, "No, not really, 'cause she's pretty Much heard all my crap." So I'm wondering, Amber, when she hears you write Songs like Never Gonna Be Alone, I mean, Is she impacted? Is it emotional for her? Or has she been around it long enough to Realize that this is all just part of your Process, and these are the kinds of songs that You're gonna come up with sometimes? Well, think Dierks said it best, is like, She's heard it all at this point. That's funny. So yeah, she's heard it all. I don't think much surprises her. She's pretty honest. If I play her something that I've written and she doesn't dig it a whole Lot, like, I can tell without her saying too Much. And like Bad Boy was a song that Caught her when I played it for her. Usually she hears demos. She doesn't hear the finished product first. So a lot of time they're guitar vocals, And they're really just minimally produced. So there's a couple of 'em that still get Her when it takes a turn like that one Does at the end. But a lot of 'em, Yeah, she knows what's coming and sees it, and I think she appreciates it, but she's over it. Well, you can't help but be moved by this Song. It is beautiful. It's called Never Gonna Be Alone. You'll find it on Brantley Gilbert's new album, Fire & Brimstone, which is finally out and available Now.
