She Ain’t Home Commentary

Brantley Gilbert's new album, Fire & Brimstone, Is out now. You can stream it, you can download it, go To the store, get your physical copy. However you do it, just make sure you get Your hands on it. And we are talking to Brantley Gilbert going song by song so that we Can hear from him what these songs are all About. And this next one, She Ain't Home, It's interesting because it has kind of an Interesting bouncy feel to it, Sort of a happy thing. But if you actually listen to the lyrics, it's Not very happy at all. But I'm curious, this is less of a rocker Than some of your other songs on this album, Less driving guitars and sort of in your face. So talk to me about the production on She Ain't Home. On this record, we really tried to Let the songs do what they wanted to do And be what they were. This is one of Those, just a simple message, but there's a positive Vibe to it. So it's a positive reminiscent looking Back song. It's about being in a place, And I remember vaguely being in that place where It's like you're trying to move forward, but it's Kind of the similar sentiment to what happens in A small town. But it's like, you know, you're Trying to move on, trying to move forward, And it's just not 'cause the next person just Isn't her. In this song, of course, my wife, Amber's, in this one as well, and it's just About home. And she was home to me and always will Be. I love that. Well, here it is off of Brantley Gilbert's brand New album, Fire & Brimstone. You can get it now. It is available. This is She Ain't Home on Big Machine Radio.
