Laid Back Ride Commentary

I know BG Nation is excited. Brantley Gilbert's new album, Fire & Brimstone, Is finally available. You get all 14 songs, and man, They're all so different and so good. And as I listen to this next song, Laid Back Ride, I mean, I have to imagine that You wrote this one with Amber in mind. And what I wonder is, is this one that You wrote specifically for this album, Or did you write this song a while ago? I guess I'm just wondering what got you into That sort of reminiscent head space to write Laid Back Ride. Honestly, I wrote it a long time Ago. I don't remember how long ago, but it's Been on the list for the past three or Four records, and just wanted to find the right Time and the right spot for it, where it Could have a life of its own. I've always liked the song. And it wasn't necessarily that it got beat on Other records, it was just that we wanted to Find the right place. I feel like it had That place on this record. The flow and the vibe of the song just Fit well, and it's been a song that I've Been wanting to give life to for a long Time, so I was proud that we got the Opportunity to do that on this one. And I think the title is somewhat self-explanatory. We're about to play the song, but just tell Me, you know, what the song is about and What it means to you. One of the things Back home when the relationship's new, Or even this one in particular, is, like, kind Of breaking the ice. And riding around town's a cool thing to do. Hittin' up different field parties or just ridin' Dirt roads or whatever. That used to be one of the, and still Is, one of the most peaceful times of my Life. I just get out and ride around, and Sharing that with somebody I think is something that A lot of us have experience with, and a Lot of folks can relate to. I think so. I mean, even if they weren't Growing up in the country going to field parties, Maybe they were cruising around their small town, Stopping at the Sonic or whatever. This is called Laid Back Ride from Brantley Gilbert And his new album, Fire & Brimstone.
