I’ve been holding back these words for way too Long. Acting like I’m steady, like nothing’s ever Wrong. I learned how to smile at the right Time. Even when it doesn’t feel like mine. I built my walls so I wouldn’t break. But now I don’t know what’s real or fake. I got so used to staying closed. I don’t even know how to be exposed. I’m tired of saying “I’m okay.” When I don’t even feel that way. Every silence gets too loud. Like something in me wants out now. I’m tired of being my own best secret.
