I don't run because I don't care. I run because I remember. I used to believe in open arms. And words that promise no harm. But every time I trusted love, It taught my heart to stay on guard. Now every smile feels like a test. Every touch wakes up the past. I don't doubt what you could be. I doubt what love does to me. They say love is where you're safe. But safety's something I misplaced. Love feels dangerous to me. Like standing close to something deep. I wanna fall, but I can't see. If I survive, the fall in me.
