The room is breathing

The room is breathing slowly. Lights are turned down low. I’ve been staring at the ceiling, Letting minutes go. My phone keeps buzzing, But I don’t reply. I don’t have the energy To explain why. I’m not sad, I’m just tired Of feeling everything On fire. I wanna be quiet for a while. Let the world pass me by. No tears falling, no goodbye. Just a soft place to hide. The mirror doesn’t know me, and I don’t Mind. I’ve been losing little pieces of my Mind. Everyone’s talking Like they’re sure. But I’m still standing At the door. I don’t need fixing Or advice. I just wanna feel Alright. I wanna be quiet in my skin. Let the noise fade within. I’m not broken, I’m just thin from holding Everything in. If I disappear For a night, don’t look for Me. I’ll be fine. I just need Some empty time. I wanna be quiet and slow. Like the snow outside the window. No expectations, no control. Just a heartbeat, low and alone. The room stays still. So do I. For once, it feels alright.
