Now sunlight is a ghost from the past that appears to soothe my sorrow It’s the memory of all that I’ve lost and has made me who I am Should I let in the past I left behind or would that make me fragile? Solitude has forged my strength But now the past returns to me What once was light now feels like pain I’ve carried the weight of a thousand torments on my own Now my heart's a heavy burden that I cannot share Should I let in the past I left behind or would I lose again?
