Nataraja

The sun was shining up above. The clouds like ashes there. The sky is written overhead. Like ancient symbols in the air. Unmoving and unreachable. By sorrow or by love. You stomp the dwarf there in your dance. He's dusted up and roughed. Nataraja, Nataraja, where are You? Where? The sun is caressing the Cliff standing bare. Nataraja, Nataraja, where are You? Where? Only faces on the water Glare. The shadows all entwined tonight. The dwarf, a stolen kangaroo. The smell of corpses, ash, and blight. The guru hangs beside me, too. And in the dark, I spoke a phrase. Tomorrow I will fly and see. To understand who am I And what I want to be. Nataraja, Nataraja, where are You? Where? The sun is caressing the cliff Standing bare. Nataraja, Nataraja, where are You? Where? Only faces on the water Glare. My body glows in sunset's light. My skin is violet, burning red. The mountain air has mixed tonight. With cigarette smoke in my head. My legs are dancing, strong and tight. The white spinning in the air. The world in flames is burnt so bright. So here's your answer, friends, Right there. Nataraja, Nataraja, where are You? Where? The sun is caressing the cliff Standing bare. Nataraja, Nataraja, Where are you? Where? Only faces on the water Glare.
