Ethics of War

I'm neither JC nor MLK. I'm just me, an average man. But still I own a pacifist heart. This stance is my own. I don't need role models for it, Even if they can be helpful from the start. The ethics of war Is the senseless attempt to pretend That killing can be fair. It is deceitful and perverse, And it's coming far too late. I can't see any reason why it's there. I don't believe that I'm cowardly Or obsessed with harmony. I just believe that violence and war Have proven often enough To be absolutely the wrong way to resolve or End the conflicts of our kind. True ethics is stopped at the source of things, And do not let it get that far. Even children know two wrongs don't make a right. The proponents of this wrong belief ignore that. I don't care, though. I stand by my side. The ethics of war Is the senseless attempt to pretend That killing can be fair. It is deceitful and perverse, and it's coming far Too late. I can't see any reason why it's there. The ethics of war is the senseless Attempt to pretend that killing can Be fair. It is deceitful and perverse, and it's coming far Too late. I can't see any reason why it's there.
